I apologize if you have seen this image in a previous post. Let me explain. Last month I posted this image of Room 217 from the Stanley Hotel and a reader asked me about the processing steps I used. I wasn’t able to make a video at the time, but I promised I would post a video once I had some free time. Over the last month he has been more than willing to help me with my European travel plans and I feel it is time to return the favor. In this video, I will walk you through the steps required to take a ToneMapped HDR image and Kubrify (made up word) it using a couple of NIK Filters.
Malcom, thanks for the hotel recommendations, I hope the video helps!

Edit: In the video, I think I mention I shot a bracketed sequence of 8-9 images……that is totally wrong, I double checked my notes and I shot 5. My mistake.

Thanks Justin that was a great how-to video. Looking forward to more vids in the future. gimme a holler when you are heading down to Bordeaux. Ciao!
No sweat. Hopefully it will help you out.
Will do!
Because of your videos in regards to processing different situations I am learning by leaps and bounds when it comes to digital darkroom. Much appreciated and many thanks.
AWESOME!!! Send me some work when you get a chance. I would love to check it out.
Whow! What a great video. I knew I liked Nix filters but you have expanded my “how to” knowledge. Can’t wait to see more. Thanks again, Jackie
Anytime! Glad you liked it. I have 3 more videos on the hopper, so keep an eye out.
Excellent video and I especially loved the Mr. Mom reference. Not many folks have the huevos to go “Mr. Mom”, but you pulled it off my friend.
Nice! I wasn’t sure anyone caught that. Good to know there are other connoisseurs of cult classics.
