News: Howdy! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I spent much of it redesigning my creative space. I actually designed a pretty cool workspace, and I will be sharing some money savings ideas in a future post. I’m excited about all the variety I have planned for you this week. Make sure to check back tomorrow because we have a great guest post in store for you from’s unofficial legal council, Rick Young! I also have a little street portrait work and a photographic adventure in Cozumel. It should be fun.

Today’s Image: On the road to Denali, north of Anchorage Alaska, is the little shop known as Wall Mike’s. I can’t say I agree with Mike’s political views, but his shop did make for some interesting images. Mike was nice enough and there was no end to subject matter. Much more to come from this roadside attraction in future posts.

Newsletter: Make sure to sign up for our ‘Good Newsletter‘. I will be giving away a Kata 3-n-1 to one lucky subscriber.

Tip: I often talk about ways I use various lens focal lengths. One way I use wide angle lenses (a fisheye in this case) is to get really close to your subject. Because the lens is so wide you can get your subject, as well as, some contextual background in the frame. Give it a try sometime!

  2. Great shot! Love how close you got with the fish. That spider web is a nice touch…

  3. I love this. You did a fantastic job with the colors… Looks vintage but still “pops”. I just downloaded the trial for Silver efex pro (after spending all day yesterday shooting a friend’s son’s first communion, portraits, and parties… never ending. all gratis… haha. I need to try some of their other software. Anyways, sorry for blabbing, great shot!

    • Thanks Adam! I appreciate the feedback. SEP 2 is awesome, as is their entire software sweet. Once you start using it you will really like it. It’s a big time saver!

  4. Thanks guys! The spider web was cool. I just had to avoid it. I’m quite the agoraphobic.
