The Hoodoos

I want to thank Mike Olbinski for helping me out this weekend. I posted a bunch of images in our ‘Behind the Scenes‘ album and asked everyone to leave a comment on an image they would like to see processed. A couple folks jumped in and made their requests. I totally appreciate it. It really helped me plan my weekend processing. However, because Mike has been a guest author here, his request is first up. Here you go Mike, the Hoodoos of Bryce canyon as seen from Inspiration point. I will be posting the request for the Niagara In The Mist later this week so stay tuned.

The Hoodoos

This location also made an appearance in my movie ‘Southwestern’. It is actually the closing sequence. Take a look and watch as the sun sets on Bryce canyon.

Here is the behind the scenes image that Mike tagged. My Nikon D700 was responsible for this image, and my Nikon D5000 was responsible for the movie.

  1. Interesting idea, which somehow I missed when you first asked for the suggestions. That makes it all the more coincidental that I just started a similar program at my site, but mine asks for suggestions a little earlier in the process. I’m looking for suggestions of what to shoot in my NYC home base.
Excuse me while I pick out something from your menu to request.

  2. Wow, gorgeous view Justin! Awesome image – very well processed!

    • Thanks Adam! I appreciate it. The movie took quite a bit of effort, but I think it was worth it. I’m really happy with how it turned out.

@Mark, that is awesome, I just left my request.
