I hope everyone had a great weekend! We had some solid weather here in CO. Enough to remind me that I’m dreading winter. I don’t mind the seasons, I just wish the distribution was different. Six months of summer, three months of spring, two months of fall, and only one month of winter is how I would have designed it. Anyway, I have a great week lined up for us! I’m really excited for it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did putting it together.
Remember this photo from my iPhone I posted a couple months back?

The iPhone Image
The story goes that I was out for a run one morning in San Francisco and stumbled upon this beautiful scene and had nothing but my iPhone to capture it. So I did! However, the next day I decided to head back down to the bay and try my luck with my DSLR. I chased seagulls around for a good hour, however, the image on top is as close as I got to that magic moment the day before. Further proof that the best camera is the one you have with you.

Great images Justin. I love how the wing tips are lit in the top image.
Thanks Len. The sun was the perfect backdrop.
I don’t Justin I think the top image is really pretty awesome.
Hmmm..sorry I meantto say…”I don’t know Justin I think the top image is pretty awesome.
no sweat, I figured that was what you meant!
Nice silhouette!
Great series. They’re both amazing. I used to do that run from Bay Bridge to Golden Gate and back twice a week. If you’re into amazing scenery, that’s definitely the place to be.
Beautiful shot! I’m no photographer but I love the results I get on my iPhone. I captured a similar seagull shot using the QuickPix app. If you’re not familiar with it you can take a series of snaps just by holding the button, works very well on any action photo.
If you are out making magic with your iPhone, you are a photographer in my book! Thanks for note and kind words.
Yes, I guess I am, although I know nothing about aperture and a whole lot else. I’ve collected my iPhone shots in posterous if you’re interested http://bookminder.posterous.com/ It gets to be a bit of an addiction!
That aperture and shutter speed stuff is overrated. It looks like you are doing just fine without it. I love your iPhone work! Thanks for the link.
While both images are great, I think you could shoot a lifetime and not match the magic in that Iphone image. Absolutely amazing.
