I hope everyone had a great weekend. I just got back from my annual pilgrimage to the Utah desert. It is an amazing place full of self discovery and revelation. I’m still reeling from the experience and haven’t had time to sort through my thoughts. I know this weekend’s trip will be remembered for a lifetime. The best I can do today is share this image from the adventure.

I feel the same way about the Southwest Justin. It always kindles something spiritual in me. Beautiful image.
Thanks much Len, it is a very spiritual place.
When I was in Monument Valley I had the same feeling. When I wasn’t photographing I just sat back and enjoyed the venue. Sometimes you don’t even have to click the shutter because its the experience. I had a workshop leader that once told me: “Sometimes its ok to just sit back, soak up the experience and enjoy a good cigar.” I don’t smoke so the first two apply to me. I enjoy the experience when I am out in nature, even if I don’t come away with any images.
Agreed James, sometimes you just need to put the camera down and take it in.
