200k on 100

I don’t do this often on the site, but the Colorado Red Cross needs your help!

Remember Ted King? The author of this now famous post here on HOSSedia.com. Well, he is riding 200 miles on Saturday to benefit the Colorado Red Cross and the victims of our state’s wildfires ( details here ). To help, you can buy one of these awesome T-Shirts. All the proceeds go directly to the Colorado Red Cross. If you don’t want to buy an awesome T-Shirt, or for some reason you already have a bunch of awesome T-Shrits and your closet can take anymore awesomeness, please donate here.

Because I was booked this week, and couldn’t make the trek to the east coast (you can also read, ‘no way could I follow Ted’s wheel for 200 miles’) I decided to put together my own version of the ride. Yep, the ‘less pro & more amateur’ 200k on 100. That’s 200 kilometers or 124 miles. Pops, a few friends and I will be riding it here in Colorado. Pops will only be putting in 100 miles since I’m going to ride and pick him up, but he’s 69 so we’ll cut him some slack. We will be riding from Morrison Colorado to the base of the High Park fire. Ride starts at 6am, so if you would like to join, just let me know. If not, make sure to do your part to help the Colorado Red Cross.

In my next life. I have ran two marathons but years ago and I understand the feelings one gets on these long endurance things. It is special.
