You Got To Keep Moving

“You Got To Keep Moving” is my monther-in-law’s mantra. When we celebrated her 80th B-Day last winter, she closed the place down. So when she says, ‘we should go check that building out’, you listen. Yep, this was the building she was referring to. Urban Exploration (aka UrbEx, a field of photography dedicated to the exploration of abandoned buildings) isn’t something you normally do with your mother-in-law….but I have a pretty cool one. I really didn’t feel comfortable taking the team on an extended tour, so it was more peeking in the door, but it still made for a cool photograph.

Photographer’s Note:

I shot this image using a Nikon D700 accompanied with a 24mm 1.4. It was a 7 shot bracket @ 1ev. I converted the RAW files in Lightroom 4 and then generated a tonemapped HDR image via Photomatix. After that, I stylized the image rather quickly with onOneSoftware’s Perfect Effects. The final touch was some sharpening via. Photoshop.

I’ll share some more examples of what you can do with onOneSoftware and some Jimi Hendrix tomorrow. See you then!
