Denali National Park

This is about 1/2 way into Denali National Park. Something I’ve noticed about National Parks…you can’t go wrong. I’ve been to a bunch, and the folks that design these places make it really easy to see mind blowing kick butt stuff. That being said, in Denali, they need to do something about the weather. In those clouds somewhere is a Mt. McKinley and it would probably be about 3 times taller than the other mountains. Can you imagine what that would be like? Have you ever seen it? I’d love to hear about it.

Hope you had a great weekend and we will see you back here tomorrow!

  1. I agree with you on the National Parks. They really do make the trips quite special. I was lucky enough to see McKinley on our trip there. We stayed at the McKinley Lodge and the first day there it was visible. We even took a flight tour of it. I was surprised to find out it is only visible 30% of the time so I guess we were lucky. This is a pick of Mckinley from the lodge http://lensaltiel.com/blog/the-high-one

Great pick of Denali by the way.

  2. Denali is a pretty amazing place. Probably the most challenging back-packing experience of my life, but also the most rewarding. Have a great trip!

Did you take one of those shots on Lookout Mtn.? Looks like it…nice!

  4. Pro-Awesome Justin! Sweet shot

  5. Loved Denali. Love the photo. My experience with the mountain was the same as yours, never saw it from the ground. I recommend the flight tour. We not only saw the top from above the clouds, we also landed on the glacier. Beautiful
